Still, good to see him doing well (though would rather he chose his matches a little better!)Timhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09215417891130654291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37251922.post-32460245889225845612008-05-07T18:07:00.000+01:002008-05-07T18:07:00.000+01:00It's becoming a bad habbit against Scotland! The one good thing about being in Hants group is that they can't be embarrassed by a lesser side like that (Sorry Irish and Scottish fans).

Gale has been really impressive lately. That scoring rate was phenomenal really and he seems to be maturing into a good player. If he had made a hundred he would have been there on my list, but as far as the batsmen went I felt Benning, Jones and Hemp played the real key match turning innings of the week and I thought it would be wrong to only include one bowler.

As for Bond, yes, at least three weeks apparently. So Hants are looking toothless in attack minus Tremlett, Mascarenhas, Bond, Warne, Bruce and Udal. That list makes me want to cry. Thankfully James Tomlinson has done fantastically at taunton today (8-fer) so perhaps we have a new star emerging. He certainly would have added to the options against Gloucs.Chrispyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17116768172493122694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37251922.post-11945488049844878852008-05-07T11:11:00.000+01:002008-05-07T11:11:00.000+01:00Thanks for the special highlight of the week - alw...Thanks for the special highlight of the week - always a joy to see Lancs humiliated like that!

I'd have had Andy Gale rather than Goughy in my final list. On what seems to have been a pudding of a pitch, his scoring rate was exceptional. Durham seem to be struggling this season, bearing in mind they are the defending champions.

Finally, Shane Bond injured already? That's a short stint even for him.Richard Lakehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12305428361656401297noreply@blogger.com
