A look at the world rankings shows that the English players do not tend to feature at the high level, but rather stay in the teens. A good unit rather than reliant on one or two players. And as you say, if Prior could catch, Sidebottom would have made the cut comfortably.Richard Lakehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12305428361656401297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37251922.post-6561149314353213252008-04-15T15:18:00.000+01:002008-04-15T15:18:00.000+01:00Now that is interesting, there I am bagging him, w...Now that is interesting, there I am bagging him, when I should be smacking Monty..

I shall have to resolve that.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37251922.post-85030468131806185852008-04-15T13:45:00.000+01:002008-04-15T13:45:00.000+01:00Thank you.Harris didn't actually play in Banglades...Thank you.

Harris didn't actually play in Bangladesh Suave, so he may surprise you even more!

He took 8 wickets for 408 runs in India, 12 for 248 in Pakistan, 6 for 173 against the Windies and 1 for 26 against New Zealand.

I think that one thing which this has highlighted is the lack of quality opening batsmen in the world, especially the lower side of 30 and the lack of quality First Change bowlers. It was nigh on impossible to find 3 First Change bowlers who had played more than 5 matches and the majority who had averaged well above 40 and some a lot worse!Chrispyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17116768172493122694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37251922.post-85297053540448121212008-04-15T13:24:00.000+01:002008-04-15T13:24:00.000+01:00Why is the title for both the pieces 'Test IX' and...Why is the title for both the pieces 'Test IX' and not Test XI?!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37251922.post-90949015579670190822008-04-15T11:54:00.000+01:002008-04-15T11:54:00.000+01:00Lovely post..It really is a damning piece for The ...Lovely post..

It really is a damning piece for The England...
